Our present societies, have boundaries that are rapidly vanishing, away with the identity, bringing the situation in fluid-multiple form. Cultural, religious, ethnic borders become interchangeable. Limitation is no longer a question between identities. As Dr. Michio Kaku mentioned in his evolution theory of civilization, we now have entered a trend towards a multi-cultural, scientific, tolerant society. A Type : Zero civilization on its way to transition.
And so we have arrived in the age of information, the MTV generations, Pop culture heavily laced with western flavor. Giving everyone the total freedom to move around in a virtual landscape. Unwary of a hodge podge of influences. The irony on this theory may well lead to a more dilution. A possibility of a common ground that will later on may become a boring world brought about by too much familiarity?
How do we rate in this transition period--If we still have all the savagery, passion, fundamentalist ideas circulating around? Considering that we also have all the possible weapons capable of wiping out life on earth with the human factor of being complacent, distorted view when in power. Can science mediate/medicate our aggression and arrogance in our neighboring countries? Is it an act of desperation to harness outer space energy and life form if in our own planet we couldn't even take care? Should we act now instead of waiting for that doomsday? How do we reflect on ourselves in this transition period?
