Duto HARDONO | 杜托•哈多諾
BANDUNG, INDONESIA

Duto Hardono (b. 1985 Jakarta) , now works and lives in Bandung, Indonisia. He graduated from the Fine Art & Design Faculty of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2010. He creates installations, drawings and collages that are full of humor and wit, often using found or readymade objects such as old cassette tapes, records, and instruments. There are also some references from art history such as John Cage’s concept of 4’33 in his sound installation using a home-made delay mechanical system and looping cassette tapes. During his Tokyo artist residency in 2011, he created a sound installation using various sounds that he recorded in Tokyo. He also performed at the opening of his residency exhibition using a vintage synthesizer which he found in Tokyo. In the opening of Hara Museum exhibition he performed with the various noises & sounds from the residency time and made it into several tape loops. His current work shown in Shanghai Biennale 2012 for a few weeks before finally got banned by the Chinese Government for political reasons. He recently did another artist residency in Cairo for Biennale Jogja XII which he create a specific interactive installation work that took inspiration of the recent political situation there. He also active performing live & releasing his experimental music on his own private press label, Hasana Private Press, beside several labels from US, Australia & Russia.

杜托•哈多諾1985年出生於印尼的雅加達,目前定居並工作於印尼萬隆(Bandung)。他2010年畢業於萬隆科技學院(Institute Teknologi Bandung; ITB)的美術與設計學系(Fine Art & Design Faculty)。他的創作型式包括充滿幽默與機制裝置、素描和拼貼,他尤其喜歡運用現成物與拾得物,如舊式卡匣磁帶、錄影帶以及樂器作為創作媒材,他的創作也受到藝術史上的某些觀念啟發,如運用自製延遲的機械系統和迴圈卡帶,呈現凱吉4'33"觀念創作的聲音裝置。2011年他在東京駐村期間,創作一個利用東京錄音的不同聲響聲音裝置,也在駐村成果展開幕表演上使用在東京找到的骨董合成器。他也曾在美術館展覽開幕表演駐村蒐集的各種噪音並製成卡帶。2012年曾經受邀至上海雙年展,作品數週後便因為政治因素撤下。最近更代表第12屆日惹雙年展在開羅駐村,並受到當地政治情境啟發而創作現地互動作品。曾參加許多區域性與國際性的展覽,除了在英國、澳洲和俄羅斯廠牌發行外,還活躍於現場表演並透過自己的廠牌哈薩納(Hasana Private Press)發行實驗音樂。聯展包括2011年雅加達Galeri Cipta II的《印尼的多媒體藝術(Multimedia Arts in Indonesia;Ruangrupa十年特展系列)》

Fairuz SULAIMAN | 菲洛茲•蘇萊曼
PETALING JAJA, MALAYSIA

Fairuz Sulaiman’s (b.1982, Petaling Jaya) multi-tasking inter-disciplinary practice covers extensive ground. Combining digital and analogue formats, Fairuz has made music videos for local indie-bands, live video projections (VJ), animation for short films, designed visuals for stage using stop-motion, puppetry, hand-made masks, 3D animation and live video mixing. His VJ-oriented work includes moving visuals (often video) on large displays or screens to complement performance art, theatre productions and live music events. Exploring everyday objects is central to his creations. He recently presented Salam 1 Jepun (National Visual Arts Gallery, 2013), a cross-cultural response event based on his experience as JENESYS program internship with Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM] in Japan in 2012. He is the Programme Director of Digital Art + Culture (DA+C) Festival in Penang.

菲洛茲•蘇萊曼(Fairuz Sulaiman)1982年生於八打靈再也(Petaling Jaya),涉獵類型多元的跨領域實踐。他結合數位與類比樣式,替當地獨立樂團創作音樂錄像,現場影像投影(VJ),並製作短片動畫,利用格放(stop-motion)、操偶、手繪遮罩、3D動畫和現場影像混接設計舞台視覺。他的現場VJ作品包含搭配表演、劇場製作與現場音樂活動的大型動態視覺(多為錄像)投影。對於日常物件的探索則是他的創作重心。2005年~2008年兼任林國榮創意大學講師,教授數位錄像。從2011年起擔任檳城的「數位藝術+文化藝術節」(DA+C)程式總監迄今。2012年獲得日本基金會贊助的「JENESYS:東亞創作者邀請計劃」在日本山口藝術中心見習,因而獲得2013年國家視覺藝廊之Salam 1 Jepun跨文化代表資格。

Mannet VILLARIBA | 曼內•維拉里巴
MANILA, PHILIPPINES

Mannet Villariba (Emmanuel L. Villariba; b.1964, Bulacan) graduated from Painting Department, University of Santo Tomas with B.F.A in 1990. His art explores the realm of sound and visual imagery which is particularly generated by the interactivity between technology and the physical body. Since 2005 he has actively participated in different forms of sound and visual performances like collaborations, solo performances, new media performances, concerts, and installations, which bring his practice to its limitless potentials, harnessing the audio visual modules for real time sound visualization. Villariba is also an active core convener of Tupada Action and Media Art in Philippines. He participates in various performance art events locally as well as several festivals abroad such as Tupada Xing, Wunderspaze (Singapore 2006), Nippon International Performance Art Festival (Japan, Summer 2007), Asean Contemporary Art Exchange (Yangon Myanmar, 2009), Changwon Art Festival (South Korea, April 2009), Gwangju International Performance Art Festivanl (South Korea, May 2009), Asia-Europe New Media Art Festival (Manila, Philippines July 2009), Reverb at Lopez Museum (off-site Component at SM Mall of Asia Atrium, 2011). Villariba is currently based in Manila, Philippines.

曼內•維拉里巴(原名Emmanuel L. VILLARIBA)1964年生於菲律賓布拉甘省,1990年畢業於聖道頓馬士大學(University of Santo Tomas)繪畫系並取得美術學士學位。他用藝術探索聲音與視覺相關的領域,特別是那些從科技和肉身之間的互動所產生的想像。自從2005年起,他開始積極參與不同形式的聲音與視覺表演,包括與人合作、個人表演、新媒體表演、演奏和裝置等,促使他的創作發揮超越限制的潛力,駕馭了即時聲音視覺化的視覺與聽覺組態。維拉里巴也是菲律賓「Tupada Action and Media Art」藝術組織的核心召集人。他積極參與各種國內行為藝術活動及許多國外藝術節,例如:2006年馬尼拉的「Tupada Xing」和新加坡的「Wunderspaze」、2007年日本「國際行為藝術節」、2009年一月緬甸仰光「東南亞當代藝術交流」、2009年四月南韓Changwon藝術節、2009五月南韓光州「國際行為藝術節」、2009年七月菲律賓的馬尼拉「亞歐新媒體藝術節」和2011年Reverb at Lopez Museum等。




CHANG, Yung-Ta | 張永達
TAIPEI, TAIWAN

CHANG, Yung-Ta (b. 1981) is autodidact and living in Taipei currently. His works take on a variety of forms such as Audio-Visual, experimental sound, installation and live performance. He is interested in observing the tiny changes, seemingly ignored phenomena and sounds in daily lives, then representing the invisible signals and data via sounds or visual installations in space. In recent years, he also collaborates with dancers, musicians, and the artists from varied disciplines. His works has been featured in numerous exhibitions and festivals in Asia, Europe, Australia, and North or South America.

張永達,1981年生於台灣,目前工作與居住於台北。作品包含多種形式,如聲音-影像、實驗聲響、裝置和現場演出。關注與善於觀察日常生活中的細微變化、易於忽略的現象和聲響,將隱性的訊號和資料透過聲音與視覺裝置再現於空間中。近年與舞蹈、音樂其他領域的藝術家合作,並於亞洲、歐洲、北美和南美洲多個聯展和藝術節展演。與台北許多聲音發表場景均有密切關係。



HUANG, Chung-Ying | 黃鐘瑩
ILAN, TAIWAN

HUANG, Chung-Ying (b.1981) currently lives and works in Ilan and Taipei. She graduated in Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011. She has performed in L.S.F., the Taipei Fringe Festival (2011-12), and On-Site (混種現場, 2013), and had won the "Best Creative Award" in the 5th Taipei Fringe Festival. Recently she is interested in studying the audibal tracks of humans in the sense of their everyday lives and cultures.

黃鐘瑩,聲音工作者。1981年出生於台灣,主要參與舞蹈劇場聲音設計、聲響演出及工作坊講座。曾多次於失聲祭、台北藝穗節、及2013「混種現場」活動演出。2012年《Display》獲臺北藝穗節「最有創意獎」,並受邀2013臺南藝術節演出。近期關注人與生活文化脈絡下的聲音軌跡研究。




LEE, Bo-Ting | 李柏廷
TAIPEI, TAIWAN

LEE, Po-Ting (b. 1986, Taipei) collaborating with Mannet Villariba, has almost incurable Thalassemia and this is the main context for his creations. He majored in sculpture in the university. He began to make kinetic installation since then, as well as other audio works. After he had graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts, Graduate lnstitute of Arts and Technology, he has been working on combining the kinetic installations and sound art. He was chosen for the Artist-in-Residency program in V2. He even established the Fablab Dynamic and devoted himself in the Fablab community in Taipei.

李柏廷,畢業於台北藝術大學新媒體藝術研究所,2011年和同學們組成跨域科技藝術團隊XOR,開始跨域實驗之路,並獲得「2012新媒體藝術卓越獎」、「數位藝術表演獎」首獎(XOR)。2012年赴荷蘭V2_動態媒體藝術中心駐村時接觸FabLab,回台後與台北數位藝術中心合作,創立FabLab Dynamic,希望於台灣推廣數位製造,並於國際化架構下發展在地化,FabLab Dynamic致力於創造社會價值的專案,以及自由能源的研究與發展。
